1 Timothy 4:12 Be thou an example of the Believers
God rested from His labors on this one day, and He expects His children to do so also.
Commanded to worship the Lord their God
Christ gathered them away from the distractions of the world.
His Blood was shed for us, His Body was broken for us, He died for us, He lives for us.
Always remember Him, and we will have His spirit to be with us
SACRAMENT and its IMPORTANCE
Appointed unto you to rest from your labors and pay your devotions unto the Lord God, and you shall do none other thing!
1. Keep unspotted from the World, 2. Offer up sacraments; 3. Glorify your Lord
                1. Avoid worldly distractions, dress appropriately
Dress appropriately and make Sunday dress apparel the best.
                2. Offer up sacraments, and tithes and offer up your sins. Sacrament table is a place     of self inspection and to make right out own lives. Bring yourself closer to the Lord         and sacrifice more for His word. That we may have His spirit to be with us. As you            bring the Lord into your life, it is the time that He is with us.
BRING CHRIST MORE FULLING INTO YOUR LIFE
Trifle NOT with the things of the Lord. Sacrament was made for man, not man for       the sacrament.
Parents NOW IS THE TIME TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO BE EXAMPLES OF THE BELIEVERS BY BEING PREPARED AND READY FOR SABBATH, and TO HONOR THE SABBATH ALL DAY LONG.
Let your light be an example for the nations.
The Savior of the World drank from the bitter cup for my salvation.
Attend Sacrament faithfully, and on time!
The greatest joy in this life is FOLLOWING THE SAVIOR. Keep His Sacred Day Holy.
Sister Jean A. Steven First Counselor Primary General Presidency
Our children are a gift to help us become more like Him.
Jesus Christ taught us to look to children on how to be closer to Him.
Humble yourself like a little child
What qualities do children have that we have lost?
Believing Hearts, Humility, Obedience, Love, Forgive, first to love and first to forgive.
Todd 2 years old to an art museum, Love and reverence for the Lord.
Those who are greatest in the Lord’s Kingdom look for opportunities to serve.
Leam 6 years old battles brain cancer—alone, and lay still by only hearing his father’s voice without sedations. Choosing Faith, and Trusting in the Lord, We cannot see our Father but we can Listen to His Voice to make it through our trials.
REDISCOVER the attributes of a child that you once had, they are not gone, just buried.
BEHOLD YOUR LITTLE ONES—embrace them with our eyes and our hearts.
Home is place we all learn and grow together. God gave us families to help us become what he wants us to be. Families are a House of God. We can see the best attributes of His children, a process on how we can become more Christ-like.
Look around the children in your life, and then look again. A heart to learn and a willingness to learn from our children, we will change for the better and be what God wants us to be.
Submissive, Meek, Patient, So Full of LOVE.
Walter F. Gonzalez Presidency of the Seventy
Is that real or fiction of how our members treat women.
Nigeria the people want to follow Christ whether they were members or not.
As Latter-day Saints it is our duty to invite others to come and see what our church can add to their belief in Christ.
Joseph Smith’s first prayer.
Enoch, righteousness has been sent from Heaven and scriptures have come from the ground to give life and light.
WALK IN THE LIGHT
1. Followers of Christ are loving people
We follow Christ because we love Him
Through love Christ was able to go through the Atonement
Even when it meant His friends abandoned Him
Even when the people whipped him and spit upon Him
WE ARE NOT ALONE, HIS SPIRIT WILL MAKE US MIGHTY
It means to give up MANY THINGS of the World. Withstand temptations.
HIS LOVE FOR GOD WAS MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY SIN OR TEMPTATION.
LOVEST THOU ME? THEN FOLLOW ME.
We show our love for Him when we serve others, and be like Him
2. Followers of Christ make and keep covenants
He makes us holy without spot
Even before we made the earth we made covenants and promised to keep them.
Making Covenants is something non members can add,
Making a covenant is a way of showing love
EVERYTHING WILL WORK FOR OUR GOOD IF WE REMEMBER OUR COVENANTS
Partaking of the sacrament is a way to remember them
Attending the temple is a way to remember them
The power of our covenants is more powerful than the trials and pains we may face.
SACRAMENT AND TEMPLE ATTENDANCE
Congregational Song: I Know That My Redeemer Lives
Kent F. Richards of the Seventy
The purpose of pain—none of us are able to escape it
Pain is a gage of the healing process, it often teaches us patience
No pain that we suffer no trial we go through is gone without learning and knowledge and growth.
Pain brings you to a humility that allows you to ponder.
Much of our suffering is not necessarily our fault. Sickness, and Death, actions of Others.
It is hardest when our children are sorrowed because of the hardness of siblings
The Savior is not a silent observer. He was with everyone of us in all of our actions and sufferings.
Find Grace in a time of need.
Is there no balm in gilliad? Is there no Physician there? There is. It is here.
From the Father, through the Son. Will ye not now return unto me, that I may heal You?
His most significant work is when he goes through his ongoing work of life with all of us, physical, emotional and spiritual. And be healed by the power of the Lamb of God.
HE KNOWS HOW TO TREAT ME THROUGH MY INFIRMITIES.
What is required to qualify? Christ chose to experience pain and affliction to understand us, we need to understand the pains of mortality to understand Him. Faith in this power will give us patience. He could have learned of us through observation but he chose to suffer with us. They brought many to him and he turned none away but healed them all.
Known to him who loves us best.
Healed by given strength, understanding to get us through our pains.
Our Pain worrying suffering and fear can be swallowed up in his sacrifice.
Fear Not little children for you are mine.
We can become as children in our hearts.
After being refined by our trials shall be brought forth as Gold.
Quentin L. Cook Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
Our women are incredible; All women of all faiths attend more services and are more faithful and strong in their beliefs
Wives are equal to their husbands. They work side by side of their husbands.
Women by Divine Nature have a greater responsibility in the home.
Unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“I appealed to Him and He came to my aid”
Women in our church today are just as strong and faithful as those in the past, whether in the church or the home to work in harmony with the priesthood.
Many righteous qualities are not able to be made into monetary value, nevertheless these righteous qualities are the most important.
American Grace women’s role in church.
Women remain remarkable, immovable, and strong. Able to lift up the feeble knees.
Faith in the Father, and Love of Savior and His Grace are a light in their lives and others.
Members need to recognize, and sustain the Bishop when he delegates responsibilities to others.
Women in the home are highly respected. Men in the home are likewise respected.
Love and concern for members of the church no matter the level of priesthood, and to love them and bring them back to rescue them for eternal marriage and eternal life.
Sisters are NEEDED for the restoration of the Gospel.
Marriage is not a menu choice
1. No woman should ever feel her contribution is less than anyone else’s work.
2. We should all be careful not to be judgmental if the decision is made to work outside the home. It is between the husband, wife and God in what is needed.
Those who are widowed are not unseen of the Lord. He loves them and is most carefully aware of them.
Errand of Angels is given to Women.
Song: I Know My Savior Loves Me
Henry B. Eyring First Counselor, First Presidency
Honor and Celebrate what He is doing to help the poor and needy
He has created ways for those who both need help and those who get it.
He has provided ways for his disciples to help.
Their means, time, and ability to help others.
In another way it is called the United Order for today it is the Welfare Program
Out of Love have consecrated themselves and their lives to doing His work
In Baptism and in the Temple, in the Sacrament.
Some Opportunities He Has Provided For Us To Help Others In Need
YOUR COMMITMENT TO ACT.
“Have I done any good in the world today” the lyrics are important to employ
WAKE UP AND DO SOMETHING MORE
DOING GOOD IS A PLEASURE A JOY BEYOND MEASURE
A BLESSING A DUTY OF LOVE
Turn Sympathy into action.
Wise parents see every need of others as an opportunity to have service brought to their children in the opportunity to serve.
Let children participate in the giving.
Remember The JOY in giving kindly service to the Lord.
Become self reliant
We feel compassion and we know how to act
75th anniversary of the Welfare System
Great needs have come in our time as it will always to come, but the Lord will always bring things and ways for us to see and help others in need of help.
1. Everyone is happier and feels more self respect when they can provide for themselves and their family, and then help others.
The way to have surplus to spend less than I earn
Use surplus to help others
A person cannot give a crust to the Lord without getting a loaf in return.
2. Power an Blessing of Unity, when we join hands to serve people in need, then the Lord unites our Hearts.
If we work alone we will lose something
3. Draw your family into the work with you, so that they will serve others and each other when they are in need.
4. Duty to find and provide help to those who need assistance for people after all they can do.
Suggestions: Prepare yourself and those you lead spiritually, Choose as recipients of your service those within your community, Plan to draw on the power of family, quorum, and auxiliary organizations to incorporate feelings of unity.
