Godhead, Revelation, and Salvation for both living and dead.
The last prophet before Christ to have the Melkezedik sealing power.
The sealing powers had to be in place for the restoration of the church to come in its fullness. We could not have a fullness if we had no sealing power, to seal the living and the dead to bring all together as an Eternal Family.
The dead cannot do the work, and we cannot be perfect as our Father unless we do the work for those who cannot and those who need it.
Family History work is not limited or prescribed to those of the elderly. YM and YW should not wait until adulthood to start learning and loving the wok sparked by Elijah.
The youth of the church have been blessed with the ability to tweet and to text quickly to help the work of the Lord along in the Family History centers around the world.
If you turn to this blessing you will turn towards the fathers of old and blessings will pour out and flow like a never ending waterfall and you will be beyond the power of the adversary.

We can all do Family History Work. These are more than just names, these are people.
Neil L. Andersen
We believe in families, and we believe in children.
Family is ordained of God.
It should not matter for us to wait in marriages to have children. Why not have children right away? Sure there are problems  but there will always be problems.
Decide by sincere prayer and faith. To be decided upon privately between husband, wife, and Heavenly Father.
You are not of the world when you remain true to what God has commanded. You  do not partake of the world.
Not having children and delaying children…
You do not collect children, or because you don’t want free time. Motherhood is a gift.
REMEMBER: Last year I felt that in 2 to 3 years I would be in the position of my sister and her husband, to have a child on the way and be married.  I don’t know but I feel a child is part of this even though the when I felt this I was just thinking about marriage, and child was a side thought of this also.  Today marks the 1st year, next year I will be married, and will be the 2nd year. If I become pregnant the following months it will be the 3rd year in which I will be a mother. And that makes me terrified. –I think this is a topic to discuss with Steven when the time is right.
Do not be judgmental in this sacred and noble responsibility.
And this thought is scary. Because that means I will deliver my child in my last year of college. I will be pregnant while taking my PRAXIS. O bo.
Ian S. Ardern (New Zealand)
With the demands made of us, we must priorities our plans to achieve our eternal goals and our long term goals.
If we do not plan ahead we will be blown from one ime wasting activity to another without getting closer to any goal.
Love is spelt Time
Time is a close cousin to idleness
Do not be compulsive fingertip communicators. OOOO Steven. Do not need to always be busy and productive.
Do not let the technology today drown out talking to our Father in Heaven.
Real friends are more important than the ones you make on your RPGs.
Take those things which rob us of precious time, and remove them and let them not be the master’s of us. Okay, therefore I will no longer play any of my facebook games. They are not good for me, and there is a time to become an adult and to put childish things behind me. That does not mean that I cannot still play the random video game, because sometimes you need to stop thinking, but there are many other better things to do with your time and ideas.
Do not be a part of distracting and destructive pursuits.
Virtuous, Lovely, Good report, and Praiseworthy –seek these things. Ask yourself if a time consuming idea and adventure is one of these and if it is not then it is not needful.
Congregational Song: Praise to the Man
Carl G. Cook
Believe in God, believe that he is and has power in both heaven and earth.
LeGrand R. Curtis Jr.
There are many very important redemtions. Personal Redemption as well as the redemption of the saints and of the church. Redemption is the atonement of Jesus Christ. This redemption does not come through gold or silver or anything tangible, but through his blood of which he spilt for all mankind.  Whereby all power is given to the Son of God.
All of us will overcome death. This does not meant hat we will find an elixir of life to make one young forever. This does not mean we will use make up to keep ourselves looking young or have plastic surgery for all of our lives. We will through the grace of Heavenly Father and Christ we will have the power and knowledge to overcome the separation of spirit and body.
“Never can I repay thee Lord, but I can try”
“All my life, reflect thy will”
D. Todd Christofferson
Pretending there is no sin does not make suffering from it any easier, or mean that it does not exist.
The gift of repentance is a gift worthy of celebration
Mercy vs Justice that old rivalry is a continuous battle.
1. Invitation of Repentance is an expression of love
An act of genuine repairing
2. An act of change is the true face of repentance
Surely the father smiles on one who wants to come to the threshold pure and clean from stopping all unvirtuous actions.
3. Committing to Obedience
We must stop the action and stop all disobedience.
4. Sorrow for Disobedience, and acknowledgement of what you have done. See the reality of what you did and not just how you see what you did.
5. Ask forgiveness from the Father of Heaven.
L. Tom Perry
We as members of the church, should take any opportunity to set the public mind straight and right about the truths and misconceptions of the church.
We should also answer questions from those both friendly and hostile about our religion.
The important thing is to make sure that we share who we are as a people, and as individuals in our church and what we believe.
Be bold in our declaration of our belief in Jesus Christ, and let no one have a doubt about that we are Christians and worship only Christ and His Father because they are the instruments of our salvation and growth as our saviors.
Only through Jesus Christ is salvation possible, which is why the Christian world, including us , is the reason to our salvation in heaven.
Our lives should be examples of good works and virtue. We should engage in doing good. And as we do this in our daily lives we will be blessed and bless the lives of those around us, even if they are not of our faith.
Accept opportunities in which you can share your religious beliefs and then ask others about theirs and ask them respectfully about theirs. It is always better for you to ask than for you to tell about what you believe. Do not be fearful about this type of situation, simply remember that this is perfect love in God and love of our neighbors. Because if we love our neighbors we will want them to have the fullness of the gospel and to have the blessings of God with no bounds, and therefore you will share what you can with them with Christ-like love.
Avoid being defensive and argumentative.
You can disagree without being disagreeable.

Song: With Songs of Praise
Elder Richard G. Scott
Scriptures are like packets of light. They give guidance from on high. They can open the channel to communion with the Father and Jesus Christ. Be stalwart friends that are not limited by miles or calendar; a filing cabinet with friends. Great power can come from memorizing scriptures; to discover and make a new friend that gives inspiration, comfort, and inspiration for needed change.
To obey is better than to sacrifice.
What scriptures do you have memorized? What friends in your scriptures do you have, and can call upon in a time of need.
Find scriptures of hope, faith, endurance, and love everlasting. If you have friends in the scriptures and obey his words then you are doing your very best; which is all the Father has ever asked of us. He has asked us to choose Him our Father and to follow His commandments so we may obtain a greater reward.
If you do these things you will have a stronger testimony in the Son of God, greater faith and more ability to endure.
Song: We Ever Pray for Thee
Sister Barbara Thompson
The Savior lives. Personal Revelation continues today.
Oft times we wonder what am I to do? What is the answer? We have a direct connection to our Father in heaven to find where He wants us to go. Have you inquired of the Lord?
In times of trouble your testimony that you have built will keep and sustain you through the troubles you will and are facing.
For personal revelation we need to desire it and then believe we will receive an answer and then keep the commandments.
L. Whitney Clayton
Missionary work can be accomplished in ways that we might not readily see as possible.
We do not comprehend how the gospel will spread or how, but it will.
The church organization that we have today is only the beginning and will continue to spread in wonderful and wondrous ways that we cannot imagine yet.
This work will move forward one heart and one family at a time to bless people everywhere.
This is our commission and commandment to spread the truth and prepare the world for His second coming. We must work and strive to accomplish this thing.
This is the work of the Father, do you really think it will stop now, or before it has reached every single soul that has ever and will ever live?
Congregational Song: Redeemer of Israel
President Thomas S. Monson
When we are busy life goes by just that much more quickly.
A few more temples to be built: Provo Tabernacle to be made a temple, the second temple in Provo; Columbia, South Africa, Wyoming, Dominican Republic, and France and one more place I think, but I missed it.
Jose L.  Alonso
Service to one another and to us is vital. We need to show greater service to those that are near to us, and save those whom we are able without sacrificing our very livelihoods.
Live more like the Savior.
Each day we have the opportunity to give service.
Do not plan, just act.
Sometimes we never even know that we are lost and sometimes those who are close to us will not realize that they are lost.
Do the right thing at the right time without delay.
If we are in need then we will be healed and receive succor when we are the one in want.
Boyd K. Packer
The youth do not always KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO.  Gender is essential in the creation and knowledge of who we are today. We also need to listen to the warnings of the prophets and to know where to go. We are the young crow which does not know where to go.
You will not make mistakes so long as you are listening to the spirit.
He who has repented the same is forgiven and He shall remember them no more.
Listen to the voice of the spirit and you will not be lead away.
You are being raised in enemy territory, but you will be safe if you will follow the commandments. Be clean in mind, clothing, and action in all things and then you will be safe.
The outcome of this battle is not in question. Lucifer will lose. Those that know the way will lead you in the correct direction, all you have to do is follow and do.
Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
The end of the world will not come before you get to where you want to be. Continue on with life as you have been and life will go on and the Lord will come in his time.
Song: I am a Child of God
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
There are many creations that the Lord has and loves as he loves Hitler, Christ and me.
The glory of creation is sacred and special.
Animals, plants and sand they are all part of this world and love the Father and will obey His every command with exactness, and are special to Him and should be taken care of.
Compared to God man is nothing, but we are important to God as He is most important to us. He was worlds without end in His grasp and He wants us to reach it to and to have all things.
We should be bothered by the problems of others because they are just as important as ourselves.
We are not too small to have been forgotten by the Father. You are not insignificant to the only ones who matter.
We should never wonder if the Father does not see us or hear us. He only wants us to do the best we can, to remember Him, and help those around us and all will be well. He does not care if you work in marble walls or stable halls; he will use us in His way and make our paths straight.
Those who are important will never be remembered in the annals of history.
Write to family members of whom we love and take care of them.
Do your best to emulate the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
Be a living witness of your strong faith in Him.
1. God loves the humble and meek for they are greatest in the kingdom of Heaven.
2. He entrusts his gospel to be taught to the ends of the world by the weak and the simple.
3. No matter where you live or how humble your circumstances, your appearance, and stability you are not invisible to your Heavenly Father.
4. What you see and experience now is not what will forever be. You will not always feel pain, and discouragement this is only temporary things. Have hope and faith in this. One day you will have peace and rest if you will hold on and believe in him and be faithful in his commandments.

CES Fireside

CES Fireside May 1, 2011 6 pm
Opening song: The Spirit of God
To the Young Adults
Sister Rosemary M. Wixom Primary General President
Come to know myself and come to know myself
Coming to know and where you learned it
We are here on earth walking the path, and living the plan the Father planned for us
The Plan of Salvation is the best gift given to us
This plan is difficult and downright hard, and we walk by faith
We must return to Him and become like Him
Now we are being tested on how well we knew Him
He is on our right hand and on our left and we are roundabout with His angels
Stand as a witness of God, and walk uprightly before God
Seek the place where you will seek the Lord
1. How can I come to know the Spirit of the Holy Ghost?
Because of meekness and lowliness of heart bring the presence of the Holy Ghost, the Comforter which shall teach you the quiet things of the Gospel
Give yourself to much Spirit of Prayer and Fasting
King Lamoni said I will give up my sins to know God, yea I will give up all that I own even my whole kingdom to know God
When you invite the spirit of The Holy Ghost into your life it will always be with you
2. How do I come to know the Book of Mormon is true?
Set time aside for when you are going to read the Book of Mormon
You need to find your own testimony, your own belief or hope, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and was written for you today
Pray to God to know if it is true, ask
In all the education pursued the most important piece of knowledge to gain is to find out if the Book of Mormon is true.
Set aside an hour everyday to find out if this book is true
We can find to know the truth but only if there is nothing else we want to know more
When you find these things out that ye ask of God that ye may know for yourself if they are true
3. How will I come to know the plan the Father has for me?
Some talents are God-given, however many can be obtained.
A list of objectives to complete in a lifetime
                1. Go to college at BYU
                2. Become a child of His
                3. Go on a mission
                4. Get married in the temple to a missionary
                5. Have children and raise them in the gospel
                6. Send my children to college
                7. See my children married in the temple
                8. Become a cookie giving grandma
                9. Come to know the gospel and live a happy life
                10. Return to Heavenly Father the best I can
4. How will I come to know the Father and His Son?
As long as you are proud you cannot know God
Involvement to anything in the extreme is too much
Humble, Submissive, Meek
We come to know the Savior when we allow Him to come into our lives
Our trials can become blessings as we let the Lord work in our lives, because they will teach us and make us grow
CS Lewis “The new men are dotted here and there all across the world, … their faces are different from ours…you tend to think you are being kind to them but they are really being kind to you…to become a new man is to come to Christ…His will is to become ours and we are to think His thoughts.”
Recognize the Lord’s hand in your life, the more you see it the more you will recognize who God is and He will be more in it.
Coming to know for ourselves is very personal
It is the process of remembering what we once knew
We knew Him, and if you ever wonder if He knows you, just ask
The Lord can teach us when we inquire
He will ease all pain, He can carry our burdens and ease every desire and help us along the way
Nothing will startle us more than to see how much we know Him and how recognizable His face is
I stand as a witness of the Father and His Son
We knew them well before we came to this earth, just hold on and you will make it.
Closing song: Know this That Every Soul is Free

What I believe

I am a Mormon
I believe in what the Prophets have said.

Article 1
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
For all of those who don’t know what this means let me explain. We the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three different and distinct beings. When the scriptures say things like, we are one, or, I and the Father are one, we believe it means they are one in purpose but not one as in one person.
When we say the Eternal Father, we mean to say that God is the father of our spirits. He created our souls, thus he is our Father. When we say eternal we mean kind of like a circle of life. He has always been and always will be, just as we have been.
We believe Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. We don’t claim to know how the Virgin Mary became pregnant, however, He is God so if He can say to a mountain move and it is done, why not say be thou pregnant and it be done also.
We also believe that God and Jesus Christ are living and not dead, and also they have bodies of flesh and blood just as we do. The reason we believe this is not solely but partially because Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in his first vision. I believe Joseph Smith saw God because of his faith which he had been taught by his parents.
We believe the Holy Ghost to be separate and distinct from God and Jesus Christ because they have said so through the mouth of their Holy Prophets.
This is was we believe and other members can probably explain this better than I can, but this is what I know:

That Heavenly Father is our father, not just my father or the father of Mormons, but the father of all people who have lived, live today and will yet live. I know Heavenly Father loves every single one of His Children. I know Jesus Christ suffered for all sins, died for us, and that He rose again and lives as we will live in the future. Christ overcame all things even death so that we can too. Everyone can live again and be born again through Christ. When I say born again, I don’t mean reincarnation, I mean to say that when we choose as individuals to change who we are and come unto Christ, we can make that change because Christ will be with us. And I am not just speaking to those who are “goody two shoes” I am speaking about every single person today. Anyone can come to Christ, and if they are sincere and Christ will know and so will God if the heart is sincere, and if they believe He can forgive their sins then He will. It only depends on us and our choices that either stop us or allow us to keep going.
